Hourly Comic Day 2022

For those who don't know, Hourly Comic Day is an annual tradition in the art community of drawing a comic for every hour that you're awake. It is held February 1 and generally people treat them as journal comics, detailing what they did each hour.

I had done this twice prior. Once in 2011, and again last year in 2021. I really enjoyed doing it in 2021, and had put it in my calendar for 2022, but as the day approached I was starting to get cold feet about it. I ended up being swayed when I heard my friend was doing it, and I'm really glad I did! I like how they came out this year, and I'm excited to show you below:

And for the full layouts:

Hope you enjoyed reading them as much as I enjoyed drawing them! Looking forward for next year. And if you're interested in drawing, just mark February 1st on your calendar

Also, if you like time-based comic challenges, October 1st is 24-hour comic day, where you try to draw a 24 page comic in 24 hours! This one is more like a jam. I've also done this before in 2016 and even though it was a lot of work, I did succeed! This year October 1st is Saturday, so no excuses!!! lol

To be honest, I'm unsure if I will actually do it this year, but who knows. Maybe I will use the 24 hours to get in my pencils, and then ink the comic throughout the rest of the month for Inktober! Two birds one stone! Or… two art challenges, one project? Either way! Definitely things to consider.
